What our logo means:

The UBC Breast Reconstruction Program logo has a bifocal meaning. It depicts stylized mountains and ocean waves, representing the iconic landscape of Vancouver where the program is based. At the same time, the curved lines evoke the shape of a reconstructed breast or a flat closure, symbolizing the program’s focus on breast reconstruction surgery. This design cleverly merges the local geography with the medical specialty, creating a visually meaningful emblem that reflects both the program’s location of city of origin and its driving purpose.
